We strive to enhance and promote the economic vitality and community spirit of Old Monterey as well as maintaining the Downtown as a unique retail, entertainment, and commercial center for both residents and visitors of Old Monterey.

Below are the showtimes for Osio Theater, an independent, locally-owned movie theater located at 350 Alvarado Street in Old Monterey, December 14-20, 2018.

ROMA
Weekdays at 2pm, 4:55pm, 7:50pm
Sat & Sun at 11am, 2pm, 4:55pm, 7:50pm

Roma follows Cleo, a young domestic worker for a family in the middle-class neighborhood of Roma in Mexico City. Delivering an artful love letter to the women who raised him, director Alfonso Cuarón draws on his own childhood to create a vivid and emotional portrait of domestic strife and social hierarchy amidst the political turmoil of the 1970s. Watch the trailer.

THE HOUSE THAT JACK BUILT
Weekdays at 3:45pm, 7:15pm
Sat & Sun at 12:30pm, 3:45pm, 7:15pm

In five audacious episodes, failed architect and arch-sociopath Jack recounts the elaborately orchestrated murders - each, as he views them, a towering work of art - that define his "career" as a serial killer. Mixing pitch black humor, transcendent surrealism, and renegade musings on everything from history to architecture to cinema, this aims to be a radical, blazingly personal inquiry into violence, art, and the twin acts of creation and destruction. Watch the trailer.

AT ETERNITY'S GATE
Weekdays at 2:40pm, 5:10pm, 7:40pm
Sat & Sun at 12:10pm, 2:40pm, 5:10pm, 7:40pm

At Eternity's Gate is a journey inside the world and mind of a person who, despite skepticism, ridicule, and illness, created some of the world's most beloved and stunning works of art. This is not a forensic biography, but rather scenes based on Vincent van Gogh's letters, common agreement about events in his life that present as facts, hearsay, and moments that are just plain invented. Watch the trailer.

BECOMING ASTRID
Weekdays at 2:50pm, 5:20pm, 7:50pm
Sat & Sun at 12:20pm, 2:50pm, 5:20pm, 7:50pm

Wed: no 2:50pm showtime
Thurs: no 5:20pm or 7:50pm showtime

Teenaged Astrid Lindgren, who later went on to write the Pippi Longstocking series, leads a carefree life with her family in rural Sweden. Restless and eager to break free from her conservative upbringing, she accepts an internship at a local newspaper where she attracts the attention of its married editor. After Astrid becomes pregnant, she leaves her childhood home and goes to Copenhagen to secretly give birth to a son, whom she reluctantly leaves in the care of a foster mother, Marie. When Marie falls ill, Astrid uses her creativity and flair for storytelling to reconnect with her son. Watch the trailer.

The Campbell Community Toy Program works in conjunction with the Campbell Union School District grades K-8 to provide toys, games and fun gifts for Christmas. The program serves low-income families in our community and involves over 2,300 children from 800-plus families. Community volunteers join together to donate, gather, organize and distribute thousands of gifts through the program each year.

The volunteer opportunities are designed to help get the donated items sorted, and ready for pick up by the families we are serving this year. Shifts are available for:

Sorting: Consists of coming to the facility and helping to organize the toys by gender and age group in order to make the bagging process run more smoothly.

Bagging: Consists of tracking and fulfilling the applications submitted for the program and getting the toys bagged and ready for the families to pick up.

Distribution: Happens over a two-night period. Consists of locating each bag by family or application and distributing the bag to each family when they arrive to pick up their toys.

On Call Pick Up: If you can be available to be on call for toy pickups from donation locations throughout this Toy Program drive please email us and we will put you on the list to be reached if needed.
