The City of Monterey’s Museums & Cultural Arts division invites you to a live reenactment of the 1849 California Constitutional Convention on Sunday, October 5, 2:30pm-3:30pm. Admission is free but seating is limited, so register soon!

At Colton Hall, 48 delegates debated the decisions that made California a free state 175 years ago. See original documents, artifacts, and even walk on the same floor as those delegates.

The event will take place on the second floor of Colton Hall in the museum - there is an ADA accessible lift at the rear entrance. Parking is available behind Colton Hall Museum.
