On Saturday, April 11 from 12pm-2pm, Cooper-Adobe Museum will participate in the Monterey Museum of Art's Block Party as a Historic Hotspot. Local Scientific Illustrator/Educator Kristen Burroughs will lead curious artists in a Cyanotype Garden Workshop using flowers and cuttings from our historic garden. FREE.

About the Scientific Illustrator/Educator:
Kristen Burroughs works as a science illustrator and instructor in the Monterey Bay area. She received both her B.S. in Marine Science and her Certificate in Science Illustration from California State University, Monterey Bay. Kristen’s main goal as an artist is to promote understanding and conservation of wildlife, as she primarily focuses on illustrations of plants and animals. She’s partnered with many organizations, including the Lyceum of Monterey County, the Western Flyer Foundation, Arts Council for Monterey County and Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History, where she leads workshops, classes and camps that focus on combining art and nature in the classroom and in the field.
