Carpets & Floors Helps Launch National Design Contest

Posted on March 19th, 2013 by Lighthouse District

The International Design Guild's Designer Program spokesperson Mark Brunetz has paired up with the Lighthouse District's own Carpets & Floors, Inc. to launch Design for a Difference, the first-ever cause-related interior design competition. The contest is open to any interior design professional or design student and provides the opportunity to win $20,000 in goods and services to makeover a space for his or her favorite local charity.

The contest will award one grand prize winner $20,000 in retail goods and services for a local charity space redesign, and the winning designer will co-host a professionally produced video of the makeover with Mark Brunetz. Four regional winners will each be awarded $2,500 in flooring for his/her nominated charity and will be flown to the grand prize winning city to participate in the design team on the winning project.

Designers can register for free and contest entries will be accepted until June 30, 2013. For complete information, please click here. Charities that would like to be nominated for the redesign can contact Amanda Baker at 831-372-2300 for more information.
