Play Full Ground presents an Earth Day Ecology Exploration – What the Heck Is That? at the Great Tide Pool in Pacific Grove on Saturday, April 11, 12pm-2pm, and on Wednesday, April 22, 9am-11am. Middle and high school students and curious adults are welcome!

About the Exploration

Guided by ecologist and artist Emily Gottlieb, participants will explore the tide pools using all five senses. The workshop combines ecology, field observation, and creative documentation, focusing on curiosity and creative engagement through drawing, writing, photography, or video.

Emily Gottlieb is an environmental education consultant, artist, and ecologist who weaves creativity and science into dynamic public programs. Her work has taken her from California to Hawaii, Alaska, and Argentina, where she has led environmental education and research initiatives.
