Golden State Theatre is celebrating 100 years of film and entertainment in Downtown Monterey! We invite everyone to join us for our Centennial Celebration on Thursday, August 6, featuring an open house, live jazz music, a centennial celebration ceremony, a musical demonstration of our mighty Wurlitzer organ, and a double feature of silent films. All activities are free and open to the public.

Evening Event, 7pm

Beginning at 7pm, enjoy live jazz music, a centennial celebration ceremony, and a demonstration of the Golden State Theatre's mighty Wurlitzer organ.

Our double feature for tonight is Laurel and Hardy's short film, Big Business (1929), followed by the comedy-horror feature film The Unknown (1927), starring Lon Chaney and Joan Crawford.
