Monterey State Historic Park invites you to join us for a free talk by Josie Iselin entitled “Art & Algae: An Artist’s Journey Into the Science of Seaweed and the Drama of the Kelp Forest" on Sunday, October 25 at 3pm in California's First Theater.
About the Talk
In this talk, photographer, author, and designer Josie Iselin will take us into the spectacular imagery of the seaweed world and explain how artmaking leads to science and to becoming a seaweed storyteller.
Learn about the kelp forest drama found in Iselin's newest book, The Mysterious World of the Bull Kelp Forest, as well as what is happening today in kelp restoration efforts.
Copies of Iselin's book, The Mysterious World of the Bull Kelp Forest, will be available for purchase at the event. She will be happy to sign books after the presentation.
