The Old Monterey Foundation presents a free screening of Robert Blaisdell's historic documentary "Big Sur: The Way It Was" at Irvine Auditorium.

The film includes interviews with writers, artists, and intellectuals such as Henry Miller, Eric Barker, Emil White, and Harry Dick Ross as well as hippies, musicians, bikers, tourists, and the rugged individualists who called Big Sur home in the 1960s.
