Celebrate the holidays at Ice Skating by the Bay's seasonal ice skating rink, open daily November 21 - January 4 . At Custom House Plaza, located behind Portola Hotel & Spa in Old Monterey, skaters can spend the day in a winter wonderland by the Bay.

Admission is $15 for adults, $13 for children 12 & under. Skate rental fee is $5.

Kick off Halloween Week in New Monterey! On Saturday, October 24, Lighthouse District shops, restaurants, and boutiques will be open and welcoming little goblins with special treats, 2pm-5pm, rain or shine. So dress up the kids, get in the spirit, and come on down with your family to enjoy a fun and safe time in the community.

In honor of Halloween, the City of Monterey presents a free Trunk-or-Treat and Movie in the Park on the lawn of Colton Hall.

The walk-through trunk-or-treat will be held 5pm-6:30pm. Our feature film, Scooby-Doo (2002), will begin at 6:30pm. Come dressed in costume! There will be food trucks, fire engines, kids' activities, and more.

The Lighthouse District is hosting a free outdoor screening of the fun, all-ages comedy School of Rock (2003) starring Jack Black. Bring the whole family for a cinematic evening under the stars!

The film will be shown at 7pm in front of Scholze Park Community Center. You're welcome to come early and bring a picnic. Remember to dress warmly and bring blankets and/or chairs. No pets or alcohol.

Colton Hall Museum presents Old Flags of Monterey, an exhibit featuring a variety of historic and replica flags. The Museum will be open on July 4, 10am-4pm. Free admission.

Included in this exhibit are several original flags, dating from the 19th century, that are seldom on public display.
