In honor of Halloween, the City of Monterey presents a free Trunk-or-Treat and Movie in the Park on the lawn of Colton Hall.

The walk-through trunk-or-treat will be held 5pm-6:30pm. Our feature film, Scooby-Doo (2002), will begin at 6:30pm. Come dressed in costume! There will be food trucks, fire engines, kids' activities, and more.

Colton Hall Museum presents Old Flags of Monterey, an exhibit featuring a variety of historic and replica flags. The Museum will be open on July 4, 10am-4pm. Free admission.

Included in this exhibit are several original flags, dating from the 19th century, that are seldom on public display.

Current Comics is hosting a Halloween ComicFest on Saturday, October 28, featuring candy and free Halloween-themed comics (11am-7pm), a vintage toy sale (11am-5pm), and a book signing by local horror author Francesca Maria (1pm-4pm).

Celebrate the 180th Birthday of Monterey’s historic Old Fisherman’s Wharf on Sunday, October 12, 10am-5pm. This free, family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, tours of the legendary boat The Western Flyer, and activities for all ages.

The Lighthouse District is hosting a free outdoor screening of the fun, all-ages comedy School of Rock (2003) starring Jack Black.

The film will be shown at 7:30pm in front of Scholze Park Community Center. You're welcome to come early and bring a picnic. Remember to dress warmly and bring blankets and/or chairs. No pets or alcohol.
