Coastal Conversations is an evolving series of studio gatherings that brings together art and different ways of understanding the world through conversations with guests from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.

About the Event

Our first gathering, Between Tide and Paper, is created in collaboration with ecologist Emily Gottlieb. Together, we'll explore the connections between creativity, ecology, and place through seaweed pressing, coastal stories, and conversation inspired by the Monterey Bay shoreline.

Rather than focusing on finding the "right" answers, we'll practice observation, curiosity, and paying attention to what the natural world might teach us about creativity.
