The City of Monterey is holding a Residential Parking Program Requalification Update for the New Monterey Neighborhood on Wednesday, April 1 at 6pm at Hilltop Park Center.

This meeting is an opportunity to ask questions, review next steps, and ensure you have the information necessary to make an informed decision about the residential parking program for New Monterey. As it stands now, the program will not be renewed unless it gets more community support by April 30. Learn more.

Monterey Public Library celebrates National Library Week with a free screening of the documentary film The Librarians on Saturday, April 25, 2pm-4pm in the library's community room.

In 2021, a Texas state representative released a list of books to be removed from public schools, sparking a wide-scale review process of available books across the country. In response, a national movement of librarians facing job loss, criminalization, and harassment began organizing to resist.
